In 2023, Creative Matters collaborated with Arcadis to create a custom reception rug for the PointClickCare office. Working with Jane Juranek, one of the lead designers from Arcadis, the project required an organic yet sophisticated rug for the foyer. The design featured a dynamic play of low loop pile heights up to 9mm, enhancing texture and comfort. The final installation seamlessly integrated metallic details and deep rich hues, transforming the space into a welcoming environment that reflects PointClickCare's aesthetic.

Soft wall coverings, double as captivating art pieces while boasting superior acoustic performance and air-purifying capabilities. Recently, Creative Matters designed Alpine, a needle-felted soft wool wall covering made with 100% Canadian wool. Expanding our wall covering designs with natural materials offers our clientele the ability to create sustainable works of art in any colour or size, with tremendous benefits.

In 2021, the Toronto-based design studio ACDO approached us to collaborate on a custom corridor runner for a client in Toronto. Experimenting with fibres and hues, the final result was an eye-catching handtufted linear design, embracing raspberry and orange tones and crafted with 100% wool.

To complement the industrial aesthetic of real estate investment firm JLL’s Boston office, renowned architecture and interior design studio Gensler collaborated with Creative Matters. We were tasked with creating two custom rug designs for the communal areas of the office. The Lucas and Redden designs from our Halcyon collection were used as the main inspiration.

Orchestra is a particular popular design from our XXV Collection. Over the years we have customized it in various sizes and colours for a range of clients.

We often feature floorcoverings we have custom-designed for hotels, offices and residences but less often the work we create for our own collections. There are now 11 collections and all but one comprise luxury rugs handknotted by artisans in Nepal.

Our client loved the colour range and motif of Vibrato Fire from our Aerial Collection but challenged us to drop the symmetry to create an unexpected abstract design.
