THE EVA RUG FROM THE LATEST CREATIVE MATTERS COLLECTION

We often feature floorcoverings we have custom-designed for hotels, offices and residences but less often the work we create for our own collections. There are now 11 collections and all but one comprise luxury rugs handknotted by artisans in Nepal. Halycon is the latest collection with the initial tranquil designs released in September 2019 and additions in January 2020. Eva - shown here - is spun in 17 colours, 12 of them with wool from Tibetan highland sheep and 5 with the luxe inner touch of Chinese silk. Colours range from light grey to dark grey and light cream to light chocolate with some crossover of the grey and brown tones in colour blends. A contemporary but timeless tribute to the Greek myth of the halcyon bird with its power to calm rough ocean waves.
