Recently, Creative Matters embarked on a journey to create and install a custom-designed rug for the great room of a Gallery Residence. The goal was to create an elegant backdrop for the magnificent fine art collection on display in the room.

Each of the guest rooms at the Eaton Hotel in Washington DC features handwoven dhurry rugs that were carefully crafted in India for Creative Matters. 

A model suite should encourage its visitors to picture themselves in the space hence our client’s request for a custom rug with a hip and inviting vibe without feeling over-styled. She gave us a lot of creative freedom – we love that!

Our client loved the colour range and motif of Vibrato Fire from our Aerial Collection but challenged us to drop the symmetry to create an unexpected abstract design.
