TEXTURAL GEOMETRIC FOR A NEW YORK CITY TOWNHOUSE

When the very talented Emma Montgomery Design returned to Creative Matters requesting the perfect living room rug for a client in the Brooklyn Heights neighbourhood of New York City, we thought long and hard about what design would sit well with the powerful artworks in the room and within the Greek key inlay detailing on the floor. We explored some softer geometrics in a few different colour palettes. Turned out that the room called for something light and refreshing so we finally decided upon a labyrinth-style motif in a pale warm silvery tone. We selected a blend of matka silk and wool for delightful tone and texture. And because the design is all in one beautiful colour, we created subtle contrast with a winning combination of cut and loop pile.
