UNDERSTATED CHIC FOR A PARISIAN ART GALLERY

One of the first projects out of our new European satellite office is this immaculately designed rug for a temporary art gallery. We rarely have requests for such effortlessly-looking designs which are actually the most complex to create. Details reign from the tones of the greys to the precise placement of the lines to the varying pile heights for rich texture. The carpet was designed to harmonize with the art and mirrors created for the apartment by artist Matthieu Dagorn whose work was inspired by the plans of the Jardins des Tuileries in Paris. Creative Matters’ rug naturally dialogues with its drawings and paintings, reminiscent of André Le Nôtre’s symmetry.
