CREATIVE MATTERS UNVEILS NEW DESIGNS AT COVER CONNECT NEW YORK

Creative Matters was thrilled to participate in COVER Connect New York for the fourth consecutive year. Hosted by COVER magazine, this boutique trade show presents a curated selection of handmade floor coverings from global rug brands. This year, we enriched our collections with a stunning array of meticulously crafted designs and sophisticated new colourways, expanding the Vista, Vanguard, Arcadian and Macrame collections.

INTRODUCING OUR LATEST HANDMADE RUG DESIGNS

Opus Oxide, Vanguard Collection

Our Vanguard Collection sees seven new additions, Aurora Hazel, Aurora Sage, Lino Ochre, Piazza Gold, Piazza Terracotta, Surface Amber and Refrain. The Vanguard Collection celebrates high art through luxurious materials and fine handwork, handknotted in Nepal in Tibetan wool and Chinese silk.

We have seven new additions to our Vista Collection, Acreage Chamomile, Avenue Ash, Avenue Onyx, HighStreet Juniper, Skyline Terracotta, Summit Thistle and Summit Topaz. The Vista Collection is inspired by landscapes and mid-century modern designs, made by skilled artisans in Afghanistan using exquisite Persian knot with Ghanzi wool.

Brook Goldenrod, Arcadian Collection

Along with our new designs, we added three new colourways to the Arcadian Collection: Brook Goldenrod, Cenote Sepia and Dusk Tides. The Arcadian Collection captures the rugged beauty of Canadian landscapes, carefully handknotted in Nepal.

From curating  our display to connecting with industry leaders, old friends and meeting new faces, our experience at COVER CONNECT New York was filled with creativity and meaningful connections. 

Reflecting on our time there, Creative Matters’ Creative Director, Sandra Ciganic-McKinney, noted, “Our COVER Connect 2024 showcase was a success.” She added, “We were thrilled by the response to our introduction of vibrant colours like bright buttery yellow, copper and gold, paired with grounding neutral tones.” The expansion into richer, more dynamic colours responds to what consumers are looking for and strengthens our presence in the industry.
