HANDKNOTTED RUG FOR A RESIDENTIAL WINE CELLAR

Twine_Copper_Updated.jpg

A Toronto designer reviewing our new Shibori Collection online was immediately struck by how perfect the Twine design would be to warm up the slightly cool entranceway to her home’s wine cellar/tasting room. The Tibetan wool with pure Chinese silk add the requisite comfort and luxe while the 23 shades of cream and copper blend flawlessly with the porcelain tile from Aperici, Spain. In addition to stories behind the wines, is the story of the rug’s carved pattern that follows the lines of twine we used to bind fabric in a Japanese dyeing technique.

Project: Toronto residence
