A LUXURY TREE CANOPY RUG FOR A TORONTO HIGHRISE

Shangri La_Suite_Updated_FullShot.jpg

Interior designer Nivek Remas came to us with a very specific request – create that magical feeling of looking through a tree canopy up to the night sky. To capture such a three-dimensional effect with texture, we used multi-level loop and cut pile wool so that each layer of leaves is slightly higher than the next. Silk accents contribute moonlight-speckled reality and inherent luxury while six carefully selected shades of green add a purposeful hit of colour to a fairly neutral space. This statement-making rug not only defines an area with a prime mix of rich texture and visual interest but also lends an ethereal air to a highrise living space.
