Collaboration at Creative Matters is built with intention, shared sensibilities and a respect for process. Introduced through Figurative Lines, an evening hosted at Atriani Interiors’ showroom at Designers Walk, the event marked the beginning of a partnership focused on how our rugs live within fully considered interiors.
The setting allows for discovering how texture, colour and proportions interact in real space, not in isolation. Here, Creative Matters rugs are presented in situ, inviting clients to engage with each piece as part of a complete spatial dialogue.

CREATIVE MATTERS RUGS WILL LIVE AT ATRIANI’S DESIGNERS WALK SHOWROOM

Conceived not as a conventional presentation but as an exploration of movement, material and space, the evening reimagined the Atriani showroom as an immersive environment. Live digital art and performance traced lines and gestures throughout the space, subtly echoing the rhythms and forms found within the rug designs. The event reflects how both studios think about design – as something that unfolds through space, material and the way people move through it.
Visitors to Atriani’s showroom can view selected designs. The showroom will become a true one-stop environment for clients and designers: a place where they can build a room from the ground up — from furniture to a fully custom rug. Atriani has created a space that feels aligned with our world — modern, thoughtful and visually calm. Our work and their furniture share the belief that good design should elevate daily living.

WHERE DESIGN INTELLIGENCE IS SHARED
Collaboration at Creative Matters is considered, guided by a shared value for craftsmanship, material integrity and design. The relationship with Atriani grew naturally from an understanding that interiors are built from the ground up and that furniture and textiles carry equal authority in creating spaces.

DESIGN THAT BEGINS AT THE GROUND
Each rug we create starts with original artwork, drawings, painted gestures and exploration of line and colour, before taking shape through material. Working closely with our partner mills around the world, those ideas become rugs meant to be experienced over time.
All Creative Matters rugs — including the pieces on display at Atriani — are produced in partnership with LabelStep, the non-profit organization committed to fair working conditions, environmentally sound production, and the well-being of the weaving communities we work with. This is a core part of our practice, and something we’re proud to integrate into every project.

“This partnership gives us something we haven't had in Toronto for quite some time, a local showroom where clients can explore our rugs alongside furniture and imagine a room from the ground up,” Ana Cunningham, Creative Matters Managing Partner, notes. “If someone falls in love with a design, this becomes a place where they can explore what’s possible.”
