WHEN A RUG GOES GEOGRAPHICAL, HISTORICAL AND CORPORATE

Deloitte_Montreal_Updated_Layout.jpg

Sophisticated but simple at first glance, this circular piece is the smaller partner of a dramatic two-rug presentation in the five-story atrium of La Tour Deloitte in Montreal unveiled in the fall of 2015. In both rugs, a variety of blend combinations and pile heights accurately replicate a detailed map of Montreal.

The rug design also speaks to the tower's heritage inclusion of former rail station elements with vivid green defining the railway line against the grey background. And subtly, Deloitte's green dot logo is incorporated to mark the location of the building itself.

Project: Two rugs for the lobby of La Tour Deloitte, Montreal
Interior Designer: Arney Fender Katsalids, U.K.
Rug: 100% wool, handtufted in Thailand
CMI Designer: Clémence Hardelay
