THE UNEXPECTED INTERPLAY OF A GRAPHIC RUG AND A DYNAMIC SPACE
The lobby was already laden with upscale details. Many may have suggested the floor covering play a subtle role but not the team at Handel Architects. Rather the rug is particularly textural and graphic so it not only holds its own but goes a step further and adds to the opulence. Active and engaging, 15 colours and 20 blends create intricacy in the background as well as in a complex graffiti overlay. We loved this graffiti effect so much that it became the genesis for a section in our 2017 look book where more designs contrast the sleek with the edgy.
