RUG DUET FOR A MUSICAL HOME

Hazelton_Updated2020.jpg

Very different from each other but totally in tune with their space, is this pair of rugs for the high-rise home of a music aficionado. Although it was designed to resemble a record, the circular rug is far from vinyl – it’s the careful placement of handspun Chinese silk hand-blended with New Zealand wool that creates the subtle sheen. The accompanying rectangular rug harmonizes in hue and thread but its intent is an oil painting, painterly strokes achieved with a clever combination of cut and loop pile.
