ROSE RUG BLOOMS IN ECLECTIC LIVING ROOM

Living_Room_Kate_Kelley.jpg

It is always a delight when an interior designer encourages us to create a dynamic and unusual floorcovering. For this Boston project that freedom resulted in a remarkable shaped rug in a rose motif. It’s irregular borders offer both custom-made positions for the furniture and provide compelling detail for the space. Its 10 shades of pink transition through ballet slipper, coral and cerise to balance the more masculine cool-toned elements in the room. They also connect to the floral wallpaper in the lounge area, and set the colour for other accent pieces such as the pink drop chair and a berry-hue rug in the bedroom.
