WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CLIENTS PRESENT THEIR OWN INSPIRATION FOR A PROJECT
Frequently clients come to us with creative inspiration for their new custom floor coverings. They might verbalize their ideas or have images, colour swatches or finishes presented in a mood board. It then becomes our mission to elevate this concept, to provide the client with everything they asked for and perhaps take that idea even further. For example, check out the beautiful finished artwork for a Montreal law firm rug at the top of this article. The client provided us with the photo below and we translated the dappled light idea to an artwork designed with multiple layers of pattern in various opacities to mimic that inspiration.

set up a call with the client to review the objectives and how this inspiration plays into the narrative of the space
talk around the inspiration to ascertain which points are firmly set and which are negotiable
assign the project to our design team and use our knowledge, experience and creativity to elevate the inspiration
prepare concepts which incorporate the client’s ideas but also make room to allow the idea to grow beyond, allowing us to offer a variety of options
