ReDesign 2011 - Before

Creative Matters is excited to announce that we will be participating in an event to raise funds for The Textile Museum of Canada. The Textile Museum of Canada is dedicated to the collection and exhibition of Textiles.

They have a permanent collection that showcases textiles from around the world and offer a variety of exhibitions featuring the work of Canadian & International Artisits. This event is being launched this year and is called reDesign. Local artists, designers and architects donate their time and talents to redesign a Louis XVI-style armchair.

All armchairs will be sold at a silent auction that will be held Thursday November 3, 2011 from 6:30pm-9:00pm at The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Proceeds from the auction will support the Textile Museum’s exhibitions, collections and public programs. We don’t want to disclose our design intent right now but we will let you know we are calling our chair “From The Ground Up”.
