ELEVATOR LOBBY RUGS HARMONIZE WITH BREATHTAKING CITY VIEWS

When HOK asked us to create rugs for the elevator lobbies of the Toronto office of Boston Consulting Group, we were faced with the opportunity of designing for a very impressive space between the 46th and 48th floors. First we worked in thoughtful abstract landscape elements in various well-considered shades of ecru, chestnut and espresso. Then we called upon texture to do its magic in handtufted wool with various loop and cut pile effects. The result feels and looks sumptuous while graceful movement in the pattern carries the eye to the main atrium where the view of the city almost takes your breath away.
