Domotex - CDA Nomination 2009

Creative Matters was honoured to have been short-listed, once again, for a Carpet Design Award at Domotex 2009,- the world’s most comprehensive floor coverings expo - held in Hannover, Germany from January 17-20. Nova Platinum is a fitting selection as the carpet design was inspired by a molecular image that the Creative Matters design team exploded graphically to reflect the exuberance of life itself.

According to Domotex, “The winners are selected by a top-flight panel of judges and the deciding factor is whether the designs excite and inspire.” The judges included some of the most respected names in the industry, including Matthew Bourne of Christopher Farr Contemporary Rugs and internationally exhibited textile designer Kate Blee. More than 200 carpets were entered in the CDA awards, which are presented by Deutsche Messe and HALI and Modern Carpets & Textiles for Interiors (MC&T) agazines.

These awards are organized annually by Modern Carpet and Textiles Magazine and Hali Magazine. These awards are given for innovative design, creativity and quality in the handmade carpet sector. The CDA’s are the benchmark for this industry and the place to showcase new trends. Creative Matters is thrilled to have been able to participate this year.
